Most lists like these are specific to Facebook, Twitter, or Tik Tok. Most only provide you with the minimum image size requirements and leave you wondering why your images look terrible on a larger screen. This is not like most lists!

Methodology

While every social media platform has its own quirks and complications, I have been careful to only include the most helpful sizes to make your life easier! I have used the official name for each image placement, whenever possible.

This list is not infallible, so please let me know if you find any of these specs need revising. Also, please note that all these platforms tinker with their settings on a regular basis so best practices today may be obsolete tomorrow!

Facebook

Profile Image size = 2048 × 2048 px
(Safe Zone: Image crops to a circle.)

Personal Cover Photo size = 2037 × 754 px
(Safe Zone: Image crops up to 34 pixels from both lefts and right on mobile.)

Business Page Cover Photo size = 1958 × 745 px
(Safe Zone: Image crops up to 408 pixels from both left and right on mobile.)

Facebook Group Cover Photo size = 1640 × 856 px
